And yet again we are very excited to welcome another new artist to the Dirt Crew Recordings roster!

The mysterious Italian artist by the name of “Love Will Say No”. A new project by one half of internationally acclaimed Disco act “Fare Soldi”.
After we received his demo we were really blown away by the rough and raw fusion of Disco, House and Techno and some great excursions in Indie Electronica with deep cinematic moments. He has a truly unique style in sampling and producing and we are thrilled to release music by him starting with this first EP or better call it a mini album.

The first two tracks were born during lockdowns and, from the same seeds, they develop different themes and feelings: The opening track “When This Is Over” is about those first days being witness of something that is difficult and historical at the same time, holding on to hope. The Disco infused groover “Days of Nothing” is about the other side of that, forced away from our families, friends, jobs, loves, lives: the confusion, the boredom, the months without any perspective about the future. But to be clear, it’s not an EP about the pandemic.

A great stomping and dark dance floor tune is “We Are Choices”. In his own words, this is a track about fate: we truly believe that our choices make our destiny, in a sort of constant motivational post on Instagram from and for morons, but the truth is that we are also the result of somebody else’s choices, and our lives are like the ones we make and those that we undergo, get knotty together.

One of our favorite little jams on this release is the blissful “Post Modern Ballad About You and Me”, this is such a beautiful piece of acid psychedelia with a great emotional touch. In his own words, exactly how one day a girl and a boy meet for no reason, and many years later they’re a family: and this is what the song is about, in my case.

The slow and steadily building “Now Say Goodbye to Your Friends” is another highlight for us. A real journey with a great fade out towards the end .. into the night. In his own words: In the past years I’ve moved from my hometown. Since then, I’ve been able to go back there always less than I wanted, so every time I was there it felt to me like the last day of a holiday, trying to spend time together with all my friends and having a good time, before leaving town without knowing when this would happen next time. This track was born during one of those nights, walking alone and drunk around the streets of my hometown in the small hours, just to smell and breath its air, before leaving.

Closing out with a real beast! “She Likes Blood”. We loved this one even if it is not really fitting the other tunes that much as it has this brutal drive and roar to it! In his own words: It is a raw jam born in one afternoon. I’ve tried to polish and smooth it many times, but it always refused to obey, like a wild animal. So, i left it like that, growling and snarling, waiting for a dance floor. We think it is a great way to end this EP and make people excited for what’s next to come from “Love Will Say No”!
